Disney - Day 7

I think we have finally hit our Disney stride.  Today was a very relaxed, very fun day.  We bit the bullet and parked at Hollywood Studios.  And as much as I hate to spend the $14 to park, it was very nice.  You only have to pay once each day, so we were able to come as go as we wanted.  We were also able to store extra stuff in the truck, and not haul it along with us.  I must say, it was nice.

We started the morning riding the Toy Story Midway Mania.  This is by far the most popular ride at the Studios.  The Fast Passes fill up very quickly on this ride.  A fast pass is a ticket that allows you to return during a certain time window (1 hour) and cut to the front of the line.  It is a very strategic game as which rides to get fast passes for , and which rides to stand in line for.  You can only have one fast pass per ticket at a time.  There is a great app you can download for your smartphone that tells you the wait times for each ride at the park.

The goal is to wait in line for the rides with short wait times, then use the fast pass for the rides with long wait times.....but, you have to get the fast pass first.  We have been able to ride 2 or 3 rides, then hit our fast pass ride with minimal wait times.

Back to Toy Story....it is a fun ride.  It is a 3D carnival shooting game, and it is by far the best 3D experience we have seen at Disney.

Then we rode the Star Wars ride again, saw an Indiana Jones Backstage Stunt show,  took pictures with Pooh, Woody & Buzz and Mickey Mouse, took the Studio Backlot Tour and played in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure.

 Buzz and Woody

 Winnie the Pooh

 Mickey Mouse

 Jen....I Shrunk ERIN!!!

We had a wonderful day up to this point.  We were in line waiting to see the Extreme Stunt Show when they asked for volunteers, and Jen was picked!!!  She got to take part in a movie stunt scene!  She was on a ship when it was attacked by a bomber.  Here are a few pics!

Jen was still riding high from her movie star experience when she was called up to play the cowbell with a band in a street performance.  You can never have enough cowbell!!!

After all the excitement, we headed to the Typhoon Lagoon water park for a few hours of swimming.  We returned to Studios for the nighttime show - Fantasmic.  It is a show which includes lasers, lights, dancing, massive water fountains, special effects and fireworks.  It was a wonderful show.  It was about 10pm when we headed home.  We plan on sleeping in again tomorrow and just hitting a water park in the afternoon.
