Disney - Day 3

Today we ventured into a new park, the Animal Kingdom.  Just as before, it was an awesome park.  I sense a theme here....hmmmm.....

Anyway, we had a great day.  First off, we did a safari they have in the park.  I was skeptical at first, but after I learned it was 800 acres...in the park...I changed my mind.  It was great.  They took us out along a path in safari trucks.  The cool part was there were no fences.  The animals were free to roam.  It was awesome to see.  And...I was very pleased with the pics from the camera.  We bought a new one around Christmas, a Nikon P500 (we had just used the cameras on our phones for years).  It performed great for a lower end camera.  While these pics look like we are stopped...we were not.  We were bouncing all over the place!!

After the safari, we rode a pretty good sized roller coaster.  Jen even road it the first time we went!!  Erin loved it!  It is called Expedition Everest, and I'm sure you can figure out why.

After Everest, we went to a Birds of Prey show, which was very good.  The PAL Mickey worked great at Animal Kingdom too.  I think it spoke more today than it did at Magic Kingdom.  Another cool thing I learned today is that is it giving updated information.  Whatever signal is causing it to talk is also telling it what to say.  Again, Jen scored a Homerun on this one!!!

After the Bird show, we headed over to Blizzard Beach, one of Disney's two water parks.  We spent the rest of the day riding tube rides and playing in the pools!!!

Sorry for bad pic on this last one.  The Disney photographer took it, and Jen used her phone to take this pic off their website.  We plan on buying a copy, since it's one of the better pics we've taken in a while!!!
