Day 5 - Hiking and BLM Land

Friday morning brought our first hike of this trip.  The views were awesome.  The trail we hiked up is behind the truck in the first picture.

You can see the campground in this one.

The hiking trip was a huge success.  Erin did great going up and down some pretty steep sections of the climb.  After the hike, we packed up and continued west into Arizona.  We stayed the night on a small section of BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land outside of Tuscon called Synder Hill.  It is a well know boondocking site, but we were all alone!  Erin and I were able to hike up the hill behind the camper, and we found a pair of huge owls.  Jen put down some linoleum flooring she brought.  The difference in the RV is amazing with the new floor in.

Our boondocking site.

The new floor!!

I will post a few pics from our hike and the owls soon.  I have to get them off my phone.

  2. It looks hot out there! I sure hope the AC is working O.K. The new floor looks great. Are the new foam bed mattresses comfy?

    1. It was hot, but we made it! The new Honda and a/c are running fine. The new foam is a little stiff. Mine is breaking in, but Jen had to get a memory foam topper for hers.
