Day 8 - The PCH!!!

We left Joshua Tree about 10am today.  While we enjoyed the park, and loved the hiking, we were ready to head west to the ocean (and cooler temps).  We took I-10 west through LA, and hit the Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1) in Santa Monica.  It was great to see the ocean after days of desert.

We drove for a while, enjoying the beautiful coastline and the 71 degree temperature.  We put the windows down and cruised!!  Finally, we ended up at Point Mugu State Park.  After a little..... negotiation... about which site we would stay in, we settled in got a good nights sleep.

As you can see, the park was recently damaged in a fire.  This is the view from the door of the RV.

We were all still pretty wiped out from the trip to the ER, so we crashed early.  It's amazing how after only a week, our sleeping patterns have changed and are now dictated by the sun.  We the sun comes up, we are up.  When the sun sets, we hit the hay.  Honestly, I like it!!!
